FST-1 DualScribe Fiber Optic Cutting Tool
FeaturesThe FST-1 DualScribe fiber optic cutting tool has a single bevel (chisel) blade with 30° cutting edge and a 5.55 mm long contact area. The FST-1 fiber optic cutter is DualScribe, which means it has a double sided reversible blade that doubles the life span of the cutter.
The FST-1 Fiber Optic Cutter Features
- The non-slip, soft grip allows for fine control while cutting
- From end to end, the scribe is about 5" long
- When not in use, each scribe comes with a clear safety cap to protect the blade from harm
- Ruby Tip, Carbide Tip, or Sapphire Tips, 30° Single Bevel (chisel)
- Cleaving of large-core fibers is aided by a 5.55 mm long contact area
- Cleaves bare Fiber to Produce Optical Quality Surfaces
- Scribes any excess fiber from the connector ferrule before polishing
