Fiber Optic Patch Cord

An optical fiber becomes a fiber optic patch cord if it is terminated with one fiber connector on each end, and patch cords are usually jacketed for more protection. Each side of the fiber patch cord can be connected to an optical adapter. Optical patch cords are used in data center patch panels and fiber termination boxes.
