Two-WDM LGX (Light Guide Cross-connect) Box for 1625NM
FeaturesThe Two WDM SC/APC LGX optical modules allow out-of-band OTDR testing on active fibers by injecting a 1625nm test wavelength. A Wavelength Division Multiplexer (WDM) is a crucial component in in-service fiber monitoring. It's used at the start of a fiber link to combine an out-of-band test wavelength, typically 1625 nm, with the live data traffic that's carried on different wavelengths (e.g., in the C and L bands). This process allows an Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) to test the fiber's integrity without interrupting the active data flow. The WDM module ensures high isolation between the test signal and the live traffic, preventing any interference and maintaining the quality of the data transmission.
